About Me

A little bit about me. I had always had an active youth, competing in swimming, athletics and karate. Before undertaking my study to be a PT, I was an extremely unfit mother of two in her late 20’s. I’d put on 20 kg with my first pregnancy, suffered from severe post natal depression and I had a large diastasis recti (a separation of my tummy muscles, which required surgical repair). I struggled to find help at my local gym, not being able to connect with a trainer my age or one who had empathy for the struggle I faced to return to fitness.

So I did it myself. By making changes to the way I ate and undertaking regular exercise, I lost the weight and found a love for strength training. It was then I decided to become the person I had been looking for and began studying to become a Personal Trainer at the age of 30. I came away with a Master Trainer Certificate of Exercise Science & Fitness Management, a 1st Dan black belt, and many other specialisations. I’ve now been in the industry for over 19 years.

I am a Personal Trainer with heart…I’ve been on the journey and faced the struggles. My life experience and formal qualifications have given me the ability to transform other women’s lives and support them on their fitness journey.

My favourite quote is “If you want something you have never had, you must be willing to do something you have never done.”
